EPCS mandates: Are you prepared?
As nationwide efforts to combat the opioid epidemic and general abuse of prescription drugs continues, greater responsibility is being placed on healthcare providers to do their part in controlling the distribution of these substances. Electronic prescribing (ePrescribing) and Electronic Prescriptions for Controlled Substances (EPCS) remain two of the most effective tools supporting physicians in these efforts.
Since its inception, EPCS has not only become legalized nationally, but also mandated in several states. It is critical for healthcare providers to remain current with these policies. Please reference the list below to see if your state has EPCS mandates, and when it is scheduled to take effect.

If you do not currently have an electronic prescription solution in place and require these capabilities to meet current or future EPCS mandates, we encourage you to consider Quanum ePrescribing. Our ePrescribing service enables you to manage prescriptions quickly and conveniently through your Quanum EHR. Click here to download our brochure to learn more about Quanum ePrescribing.
